01 / The problem
Local car discovery needed a clearer public experience.
Buyers and sellers in General Santos needed a straightforward platform for finding available vehicles, reviewing useful details, and connecting with sellers without relying only on scattered social posts.
02 / My role
Building the listing journey from interface to deployment.
I handled the full-stack implementation, frontend structure, vehicle listing flow, backend logic, responsive behavior, and deployment. The work focused on making discovery practical for local users across devices.
03 / What I built
Core contributions
- Built the public homepage and vehicle-discovery experience
- Implemented listing cards and vehicle-detail workflows
- Added make, model, year, and budget-oriented browsing controls
- Connected frontend listing behavior with Firebase-backed data
- Created responsive layouts for desktop and mobile users
- Supported deployment and production delivery using AWS Lightsail
04 / Technical decisions
Keeping local vehicle discovery focused
Search before browsing depth
Reason: Buyers commonly begin with practical constraints such as make, model, year, and budget.
Result: The primary experience helps visitors narrow the listing set before reviewing individual cars.
Listing summaries before seller contact
Reason: Visitors need enough vehicle context to decide which listings are worth pursuing.
Result: Cards and detail flows present relevant information before directing users toward seller communication.
Responsive public interface
Reason: A local marketplace must remain usable for visitors browsing from phones as well as larger screens.
Result: Search, listing, and informational sections adapt across the expected device range.
05 / Challenge
Presenting enough detail without making browsing feel heavy.
The core challenge was balancing vehicle information, search controls, imagery, and seller pathways in a public interface that remains approachable on smaller screens.
06 / Outcome
A deployed local platform for vehicle discovery.
The project delivered a public full-stack listing experience where local visitors can filter available vehicles, review details, understand the buying process, and connect with sellers.
